"I am not an artist," says Cathérine with some insistence. Her work is a craft. She sees herself more as an artisan. Thanks to her professional knowledge, her work is never simplistic. Her many years of experience and the informative encounters have increased her professional knowledge and she finds this invaluable.

With painter Toon Haenen she learned to look at things beyond the surface, to see the beauty of simplicity. She learned to balance the power of harmony from art collector Axel Vervoordt. The Canal, where her studio is located, is also an inspiring location. You meet nice people there. Each with their own profession, but the same harmonious energy.

She discovered Zen meditation through Norbertine Staf Feyaerts, from whom she learned to become aware of simplicity by letting go and seeing how precious nature and man are. More than 30 years of experience in the workshop of Georges Cuyvers has only perfected her professional knowledge.

Cathérine is extremely grateful to all these people and many others. She is most grateful to her parents, her husband Thierry and two daughters Anaïs and Lisa. Her grateful attitude also tells us something about her honest way of life. Refined and elegant, but knows what she wants very well and works perfectly.
